Seven players became the inaugural inductees into the Lancashire Cricket Hall of Fame in February: A.N. Hornby, Cyril Washbrook CBE, Brian Statham CBE, Jack Bond, Farokh Engineer, Sir Clive Lloyd CBE and Jack Simmons MBE.
During a lifetime spent involved in cricket it could be said that Jack Bond, who has died at the age of 87, had pretty much done it all; as player, captain, coach, manager, umpire, England selector and groundsman.
