Lancashire Hall of Fame Cards

Following the launch of the Lancashire Cricket Hall of Fame in 2020, Max Books in association with the Lancashire Cricket Heritage Team have produced sets of postcard-size commemorative cards for each of the inductees.

Established in order to celebrate and honour the leading figures from the proud history of Lancashire Cricket, seven Lancashire club legends became the first inductees into the Hall of Fame in February 2020 and were joined by eleven more over subsequent years.

That number rose to 22 this year when four further legends were inducted into the Hall of Fame in April 2024.

The first seven (nos 1-7) were: A.N. Hornby. Cyril Washbrook, Brian Statham, Jack Bond, Farokh Engineer, Sir Clive Lloyd and Jack Simmons.

They were joined by (nos 8-14): Johnny Briggs, Archie MacLaren, J.T. Tyldesley, Eddie Paynter, Peter Lever, Ken Shuttleworth, and David Hughes.

And then by (nos 15-18) in February 2023: George Duckworth, Neil Fairbrother, Carole Hodges — the first Lancashire Women's player to be inducted — and David Lloyd.

In April 2024, (nos 19-22) Michael Atherton, Peter Eckersley, Frank Hayes and Peter Lee joined the Hall of Fame.

Each card comprises a front side photograph showing each player's name and number in the Hall of Fame while the reverse contains biographical information on their outstanding playing careers and can be bought as separate sets 1-7, 8-14, or 15-18 or as a complete set (nos 1-18).
Note: Cards 15-18 also include a copy of the commemorative menu produced for the Hall of Fame Dinner.

It is envisaged that further cards will be produced each year as further inductees are announced by Lancashire Cricket and added into the Hall of Fame.

Donations from the sale of the cards will go to Lancashire heritage.
