Sun, Snow & Strike!

Lancashire's strange summer of 1975 and the match in the snow at Buxton. Written By Colin Evans, former Cricket Correspondent for the Manchester Evening News.

Limited Edition — NOW SOLD OUT

1975 was a strange summer for Lancashire with one of the most remarkable cricket matches at Buxton when snow ruled out play on June 2nd in a most unusual match.

Colin tells the story of the match after talking to the players who played in the game. It is quite a story which has it all — even Dickie Bird as umpire!

Colin goes on to document what was one of the few strikes by county cricketers which followed! He has talked to the players involved as the Lancashire dressing room was in turmoil. It is a very interesting story which has never been documented before.

There is forward to the book by former Derbyshire and England player Geoff Miller who played in the match at Buxton.
